Also here in summer

The winter packages above are our current focus, but Kronlund is just as much a destination once the snow melts — long midsummer daylight, forest hiking, and the river right on our doorstep for canoeing and fishing. Our larger apartment (up to 8 guests) is especially popular with families and groups travelling together in summer.

Nick Anna-Louise Kleinherenbrink

Nick & Anna-Louise Kleinherenbrink

We are Nick Kleinherenbrink and Anna-Louise Kleinherenbrink — a Dutch guy and a Swedish woman who met in Germany in 2013. After seven years in the Netherlands we longed for the north, the nature and the seasons. So we combined forces with Nick's parents and bought Kronlund Kursgård in 2020 — just as the Covid pandemic hit.

We just made it over the Danish border, with all of our belongings packed into one car and one truck, right before it closed. We were lucky to make it. While the world shut down, we started a long journey to rebuild and re-establish Kronlund Kursgård to its former glory, and beyond.

A school for the forest

Since 1905

The 1st of November 1905 is an important date in the history of Kronlund Kursgård. That is when the, then called, Hällnäs forest school opened for the first time — the first school of its kind in the north of Sweden.

58 men applied in the first year, most of them from Västerbotten or Norrbotten, most with a background in forest work — proof of just how necessary the school was at the time. Of those 58, 14 were chosen for the first year.
